Please join us for an artful celebration of nearly 100 years of Saturday art classes at the museum on the occasion of the 2025 Youth Exhibition and Raymond Saunders: Flowers from a Black Garden (Tam OâShanter alum). The evening will be full of reunions, art-making, participatory close looking tours of both exhibitions, and delectable sweet and savory hors dâoeuvres. In the spirit of longtime museum instructor Joseph Fitzpatrick, letâs gather to look, to see, to remember, to enjoy!
Saturday art classes at Carnegie Museum of Art have been the place where many young Pittsburgh artists found the tools for self-expression, created new connections, and discovered the ways looking and making are essential parts of life. Whether you called them Tam OâShanter, Palette, or The Art Connection, as the classes are called today, or if you are a parent or friend of art learning, we canât wait to celebrate the power and impact of art, expression, and creativity in young people and all our lives.
