Raymond Saunders: Paintings, Drawings, and Collages at the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, Massachusetts from April 24–June 14, 1987, started with an in-depth conversation between Christopher Cook and Raymond Saunders on his evolution as an artist.
After Cook finished taping, he told Saunders he was going to “make” something from the recorded material. Saunders asked Cook, “what are you going to call it?” And then Saunders answered his own question, he said, “just call it ‘Nothing to Say.” The artist’s voice was made into a total of twenty postcards that accompanied the show.
