Neighborhood Museum
Artwork and art-making centers a multiplicity of cultural practices. At Carnegie Museum of Art, artwork is a way to learn about the place you live while sharing where you have come from. We provide a free family membership to Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and introduce you to the museum with resources in your home language.
Recently arrived refugee and immigrant families join us through our partnership with the following community refugee resettlement agencies; BCAP (Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh), Bethany Christian Resettlement Services, JFCS (Jewish Family and Community Services), AJAPO (Acculturation for Justice, Action and Peace Organization), Hello Neighbor, Latino Community Center, Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, Casa San Jose, and Monessen Family Center.
Translation and interpretation services, including downloadable museum guides translated in an array of languages, are provided by Global Wordsmiths.
