Students in grades 9–12 will gather weekly to learn artistic skills to develop their personal art practices and portfolios as well as gather information on continued education and professions in the creative field. Professional artists, educators, and other experts will lead students in studio explorations and discussions at the museum and other off-site spaces like neighboring universities and galleries. Students will also be challenged to work as a group to curate and market the culminating art exhibition in which their own work will be showcased.
Tuition
$525 (members $475) for 18 classes and two open studios. Scholarships are available. All materials are included and morning snacks will be provided.
Registration
Youth Art Studio is a total of 18 total classes and is split between two semesters, with a brief winter break in between.
No classes for students in grades 9–10 from November 29 through December 27. No classes for students in grades 11–12 from November 27 through January 2.
Class for grades 9–10 takes place on Saturdays mornings from 10:15 a.m.–1:15 p.m. and class for grades 11–12 takes place on Thursday evenings from 4:30–7:30 p.m.
Open Studio
Students participating in The Art Connection and Youth Art Studio are invited to attend open studio for additional time to complete projects. December 6, 2025 and March 14, 2026, 10:15 a.m.–1:15 p.m. in the Art Studio.
