Experience a sonic landscape created from field recordings of Earth’s physical structure and substance—coupled with the sounds of Indigenous peoples’ movements to protect our planet—performed by composer, performer, and installation artist Raven Chacon.
Chacon’s sonic performance will fill the Hall of Sculpture with a combination of voices and instruments along with field recordings created at the Grand Canyon, the front lines of Standing Rock resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline, and from windmills in the Samí territory of northern Norway.
This event is part of the Widening the Lens Opening Program! Keep reading to learn more about the day’s schedule of events and all of the ways to engage.
