Priyesh Gothwal (born 1993, Udaipur, India; lives in New Delhi, India) is a visual artist working with drawing, text, video, and found materials. His practice explores how scripts, images, and symbols shape narratives, and how language—through poetics, typography, and literary devices—becomes a tool to navigate personal, familial, and social complexities. Gothwal completed his MFA at Shiv Nadar University (2017) and was a resident at the Ashkal Alwan Home Workspace Program, Lebanon (2019–2020). He is a founding member of first draft—a collective that creates situations for coming together to converse, gestate, share, and build relations over time—and has initiated Book Show, a series of book exhibitions. He currently teaches in and manages the BFA program at Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities (JSLH), O. P. Jindal Global University.
