The Art Connection Annual Student Exhibition presents work from Carnegie Museum of Art’s premier studio-art program for young people.
At Carnegie Museum of Art, we understand the importance of play in generating ideas. Every Saturday, students in The Art Connection (TAC) surround themselves with the playful experimentation visible in the museum’s collection. They examine objects made by artists who push boundaries with new technologies, identities, and definitions. By analyzing and discussing these artworks, TAC students gain insight into the creative process. With the help of teaching artists, TAC students translate gallery insights into studio creations of their own. In this way, students become contemporary artists just like the ones in our collection.
Enjoy the incredible work produced by these emerging artists! Congratulations to all students, teachers, and assistants on another successful year.
