Forum 75
Jacqueline Humphries is the 75th installment in Carnegie Museum of Art’s Forum series. This exhibition is organized by Amanda Donnan, assistant curator of contemporary art.
The exhibition traveled to Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, from November 19, 2015 through February 28, 2016
Jacqueline Humphries was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, in 1960 and currently lives and works in New York City. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design (1985) and the Whitney Independent Study Program (1986). Recent solo exhibitions of her work include Greene Naftali, New York (2015, 2012, 2009, 2006); Stuart Shave Modern Art, London (2014, 2010); Galerie Forsblom, Helsinki (2011); Jensen Gallery, Auckland (2007); Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown, MA (2006); and Nyehaus, New York (2005). She was included in the 2014 Whitney Biennial and Prospect.1 New Orleans (2008), and has participated in group exhibitions at venues including the Rose Art Museum, Waltham, MA; Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland; Hessel Museum of Art, Annendale-on-Hudson, NY; Dallas Museum of Art; and The Kitchen, New York. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Tate Modern, London; the Saatchi Collection, London; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
