Young learners can grow and learn with Mini Makers, school aged children can gather afterschool for Museum Makers or register for a full day Summer Camp, and older children and teens can hone their skills in the Art Connection and Youth Art Studio. Spend the morning at the museum while deepening your emotional connection with your child, growing visual development, and encouraging early communication through art viewing and making! Infants and toddlers alongside their caregivers will explore a monthly theme through studio and gallery exploration in this program specifically designed for the earliest learners.
Visit the museum with your young children to explore engaging sensory, imaginary play, art-making, art viewing, and movement activities. We’ll keep your little artist engaged by moving between stations that will invite each child and guardian to create in a way that is interesting and developmentally appropriate
Young artists will explore art making, discussion, and sensory experiences in this weekly afterschool program for early elementary-aged children.
During Day Off at the Museum, kids will find inspiration in the galleries and create original artworks through painting, printing, sculpting, and mixed media.
Young artists in grades 5–8 are challenged to create unique artworks inspired by the work in our galleries, culminating in an exhibition of their own at Carnegie Museum of Art.
Students in grades 9–12 will gather weekly to learn artistic skills to develop their personal art practices and portfolios as well as gather information regarding continued education and professions in the creative field.
Kids are invited to play, explore and make in the museum on their days off from school. Whether it’s for one day or a whole week, we have you covered with engaging activities for select school holidays and summer vacation.
