Braddock Youth Project
The Braddock Youth Project (BYP), founded in 2006, is a summer and after-school employment program for high school-aged youth to generate and maintain meaningful and sustainable community development projects, while fostering skills that aid in advancement toward positive life outcomes. These projects seek to harness the energy and creativity of young people to promote positive, culturally relevant change in their community. During the current school-year, youth are working on the following Teams: Gardening, Media and Design, Mentoring, and Murals. Youth from all of the teams were able to contribute artwork they made either during or outside of their time at BYP.
