A reception follows in Carnegie Museum of Art’s Hall of Sculpture, and the exhibition remains open until 9 p.m.
Arthur Lubetz has designed many of the most original and provocative recent buildings in the Pittsburgh region. To mark the exhibition Action, Ideas, Architecture: Arthur Lubetz/Front Studio in Carnegie Museum of Art’s Heinz Architectural Center galleries, Lubetz will explore architecture from multiple points of view. Get a first-hand overview of Lubetz’s fifty-year old architectural practice, which operates today as Front Studio in Pittsburgh and New York. From the vibrant, tilted façade of The Glass Lofts residences to the sliced and stacked boxes of the Sharpsburg Community Library, these are structures born of provocative ideas about how design can energize our built environment.
