About the Artists
Hot Mass
Established in 2012, Hot Mass is a private party focused on lgbtq+ artists and friends. The collective of promoters and DJs aims to continually grow and push the boundaries of the underground music scene.
Josey Rebelle
Crack Magazine’s 50 Most Exciting DJs in the World. Mixmag’s Top 20 Breakthrough DJs of the Year. Time Out’s 10 Best Radio Shows in London. Pitchfork’s 10 Best Mixes of 2017. Heavyweight selection first and foremost.
Josey was introduced to the decks at an early age, taught to DJ by her brother on his house, techno and hardcore collection when she was 13, but it was some years later that she graduated from bedroom DJ to the club, eventually earning her stripes as a resident at legendary London basement club Plastic People. She has since graced the line-ups of clubs such as Panorama Bar, Fabric, Concrete, Good Room, De School and Nitsa, and 2018 sees her settle down for an exclusive London residency at The Pickle Factory. Josey has also been booked for festivals including Dimensions, Primavera Sound, Bestival and Afropunk NYC, has recorded highly-acclaimed mixes for Resident Advisor, The Fader, Discwoman, Fact Magazine and BBC Radio 1, and also appeared on the very first official Boiler Room broadcast in 2010.
While her club sets centre around house, techno and breakbeat sounds old and new, Josey demonstrates the full spectrum of her musical knowledge on her three-hour Sunday morning Rinse FM shows, described by Time Out as ‘the best way to spend a Sunday.’ 2018 marks Josey’s seventh year on the station.
Kerem
Kerem started his DJ/radio career in 1993 in Istanbul on Power FM. After moving to Pittsburgh to attend college, he became an intern at WYEP, hosting a mix show. In 1998 he started a weekly broadcast for WYEP called Dubmission, which is still running strong to this day—over 1,000 shows and counting. Dubmission features a mix of offbeat, boogie, jazz, house, soul, techno, hip hop, broken beat, funk, leftfield, disco, and more.
To Sleep At Night
Joseph Reilly is a local sound artist interested in the ontologies of isolation and introversion. As TSAN he acts as a curator of ethereal soundscapes, with the intention of coercing the audience’s focus into weaving between the external world and their own internal faculties.
