Join us for a participatory performance of reading photographs through music. Artist, filmmaker, and curator asinnajaq welcomes us “to interpret the stories, essence of the landscape, and translate and listen to the land,”
asinnajaq has a long-running practice of writing text scores that invite open-ended interpretations and enactments. Their artwork qamutik piece is presented in the museum galleries as part of the 59th Carnegie International. In piano piece, asinnajaq invites you and their collaborators to respond to a selection of their photographs through music.
