In this drawing workshop, artist Kori Newkirk lends his perspective to thinking about and making art. 20/20: The Studio Museum in Harlem and Carnegie Museum of Art includes Newkirk’s signature beaded curtain work. These curtains, which blur the lines between sculpture and painting, compose both built and natural landscapes from strung multicolored pony beads and braided hair.
Through discussions and drawing exercises, challenge your mind and drive your creativity. Conversation and practice come together to guide participants of all levels and artistic focus to connect ideas, images, and actions through the core act of drawing.
