Their firm utilizes a knowledge of everyday techniques to adapt and transform materials for contemporary projects. A unique combination of traditional understanding, experimental building tactics, and intensive research defines the studioâs approach.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Wang Shu received the 2012 Pritzker Architecture Prize. His work will appear in Influencers: The Pritzker Architecture Prize, an exhibition that celebrates the 40th anniversary of this “Nobel Prize of Architecture.” Influencers opens at the Heinz Architectural Center on May 4.
The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
