Hear Juliet Kinchin, a curator at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, explore the changing relationship between design and everyday life in 20th-century America. The lecture is free and open to the public, although registration is required.

About Juliet Kinchin
Juliet Kinchin joined the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in 2008 as a curator in the Department of Architecture and Design, focusing on the history of modern design. She holds MA degrees from Cambridge University and the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London; she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, where she has been a Senior Research Fellow since 2008. Previously, she worked as a curator in Glasgow Museums and Art Galleries and London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. She has also held faculty positions at the Glasgow School of Art, the Bard Graduate Center in New York, and the University of Glasgow, where she was the Founding Director of the graduate program in Decorative Arts and Design History.
Kinchin has published extensively on 19th- and 20th-century design. At MoMA, she has curated a series of exhibitions in this field, including The Value of Good Design(external link), currently on view.
