Korean Liberation Day (Gwangbokjeol) commemorates the liberation from Japan’s colonial rule of 35 years. To celebrate Korean Liberation Day, we will host a shiso ice cream party in The Perilla People’s Garden, a project by artist Ginger Brooks Takahashi comissioned for the 59th Carnegie International.
The ice cream features the flavors of perilla seeds.
