About the Artists
The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh (COP) has been growing steadily as a presence in the Pittsburgh’s rich scene of the performing arts. COP performs works that rarely see a stage in Pittsburgh, and our mission focuses on three areas in music. First, we love to play rarely performed masterpieces by familiar composers. Many are familiar with the wonderful, large orchestral works and perhaps also smaller pieces, but there is a tremendous body of work composed for ensembles like oursâlarger than the “chamber music” of trios and quartets but smaller than a 100-piece orchestra. Second, the history of music has a host of tremendous talents, composers who have been unduly neglected, and we seek out under-appreciated gems to bring them to life once again. Finally, COP regularly performs Pittsburgh premieres of contemporary composers and commissions new works to world premiere. We seek to bring delight, wonder, and discovery to our audiences. We do so with an ensemble of talented Pittsburgh-based musicians and special guests both local and national. Through it all, we present vibrant and diverse music programs that are unique in the Pittsburgh landscape.
DJ Dini Daddy started spinning records to the world back in September of 2021. His sets are a strictly vinyl music experience driven by funk, house, and indie rock LPs. Dini Daddy lives for and loves the deep cuts of 1972 to 1983 funk/world disco music.
