Cameron Brown is a documentary photographer with a profound passion for capturing the authentic moments within families. Inspired by the unobtrusive approach of renowned street and documentary photographers, Cameron’s work celebrates the genuine connections that naturally unfold within family interactions.

With a background in Mass Media Communication and a specialization in advertising from Carlow University, Cameron’s photographic journey began in late 2017, serving as a form of creative therapy following the loss of his mother. This personal experience ignited the idea of preserving the memories and emotions within families, aligning well with those seeking to document their unique family stories.

Max Cianci is a filmmaker and photographer based in Pittsburgh. First and foremost, Max is a storyteller, looking to capture moments between loved ones in as natural and comfortable a way as possible. Max has been passionately working in visual mediums for the last 15 years. He loves meeting new friends and helping them create memories to capture together.

Beth Kukucka is a photographer and filmmaker based in Pittsburgh. Kukucka’s photography captures the full image while bringing our attention to what makes each person unique. She specializes in portraiture and actor’s headshots, using a signature technique that combines still images with video.  Kukucka is a multidisciplinary artist stemming from her years as a commercial wedding and special life event photographer. This will be Beth’s third year as a photographer for the Friends and Family sessions at the museum, which she considers an honor.

Karlie Rae Malone is an experienced freelance photographer whose work weaves memories as they happen. Karlie Rae Photography specializes in wedding and milestone photography. She has a  Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Photography from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Dominick McDuffie is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in documentary  photography and fine art. As a self-taught photographer, his photography is rooted in  community, cultural preservation and authentically documenting Black spaces, as well as the people in and around them. Following the tradition of image makers he admires, such as Gordon Parks, Charles “Teenie” Harris, and Ming Smith he uses film photography to give a warmness and a natural feel that he wants to convey in images.

Dominick has exhibited with 38A Gallery, August Wilson House, Point Park Playhouse and Saint Vincent’s Verostko Center within his career. Dominick is also a recent recipient of the 2023 Silver Eye Keystone Award, this honor is given to an exceptional photographer living or making work within the state of Pennsylvania.

Evangeline Mensah-Agyekum is a storyteller, photographer, filmmaker, and stylist based in Pittsburgh, PA. As a self-taught photographer, she captures the essence of people in a manner that celebrates their individuality and portrays their vulnerabilities. Evangeline is inspired by beauty in the ordinary moments of daily life, elevating them into powerful visual narratives. Her work primarily centers around stories of identity related to Blackness and womanhood.

Evangeline has been part of group exhibitions at Brewhouse Association, Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl, Sweetwater Center for the Arts, and she recently had a solo exhibition at the 38a Gallery. Her work was displayed on a billboard through SaveArtSpace in Pittsburgh, PA and has been published in PhotoVogue of Vogue Italia. Evangeline received a special mention for the Silver Eye Fellowship. Her experimental short film “Don’t We Look Pretty?” was part of the Wick Monet Film Festival and the Youth Film Fest at the Carnegie Museum of Art.

Akyera Thompson is a creative storyteller. portrait photographer. sister. feeler. follower of Jesus. justice seeker. & neighbor. Thompson is based outside of Pittsburgh in Aliquippa, PA, with 10 years of experience of photographing special moments in peoples lives. She works as a photographer and youth development practitioner. Thompson’s success is clear to her when her clients smile or giggle at her work because they see THEIR beauty.  Thompson works from the heart and knowing that it’s a special honor to capture peoples’ stories, and she is so excited to help tell yours.
