Imagine yourself as a designer as you join Carnegie Mellon University design students for this in-gallery workshop!
By taking a closer look at the shapes of the objects on view, participants will better understand the design process behind the everyday objects featured in Extraordinary Ordinary Things, our latest decorative arts and design exhibition.
Through three design prompts with increasing levels of design thinking, this in-gallery workshop will encourage visitors to brainstorm, ideate, and reflect on what they want to make, how form influences function, and what role objects can play in our lives.
This student-led workshop is free with museum admission, stop by anytime between 1 and 5 p.m. to participate. All materials will be provided.
