The Carnegie Trees are a cherished holiday tradition in Pittsburgh. Presented by the Women’s Committee of Carnegie Museum of Art, the annual display features decorated Colorado spruce trees, flanking the museum’s exquisite Neapolitan presepio.
The annual preview event kicks off the season. The 2018 edition marks a first-ever collaboration with 57th Carnegie International artist Karen Kilimnik. Five soaring evergreens are decorated according to Kilimnik’s artistic vision, which has been described as “joyful fantasy and a quest for the romantic sublime.”
Sponsors and guests will enjoy the festive cocktail reception while previewing the magnificent trees in the Hall of Architecture. Patron-level guests are invited to an elegant seated dinner at 7:30 p.m., following the cocktail reception.
Complimentary valet parking will be available at the Carriage Drive entrance, located off Forbes Avenue.
