Join us for Artist Talk, an art and performance event series centered around mental health. Join videographers, photographers, visual artists, and musicians as they bring mental health conversations to the forefront by sharing stories behind some of their most personal work. Nonprofit partners will share tools and resources of self-care to heal, cope, care for, and elevate mental health.
The event will open with a casual mixer and music from DJ Femi. Light comfort bites and a cash bar. Guests can comfortably meet with other artists at their pace before performances begin.
To close, the eventâs nonprofit beneficiary Hope for the Day, a nonprofit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education, will present an interactive demonstration on mental health and self-care. Hope for the Day will facilitate a safe, vulnerable space for attendees to talk about their feelings and experiences while also giving tips on how to cope, take care, and prioritize themselves.
Following the program, guests will be invited to stay and share their own stories about what theyâve been through. Those who donât want to share are welcome to simply listen.
Throughout the evening, guests will also be able to purchase raffle tickets to win local art and gift certificates to wellness-oriented businesses. Proceeds from raffle purchases will go directly to Hope for the Day.
