Who?
Teens who love performance of all kinds: theater, dance, performance art, basketball!
For What really?
You would work as the teen ensemble for a professional performance of Be Holding, a play length poem, that takes place in a basketball court!! This involves learning a movement score and some back-up text and vocal work—or—you could be an assistant stage manager or video tech on the run crew.
BUT what does this mean?
You would join with a director, poets and a band to build original choreography (no dance skills necessary) and create a vocal score to accompany a poet and live band during a performance. If you do crew, you will learn how to run the video and help the stage manager.
When?
You must be available to meet one day on January 17, 2026 for a meet and greet with the artists, an audition and a read through.
If you are invited to perform/crew you must be available for rehearsal on Saturday and Sunday February 14 and 15, 2026.
For tech rehearsal and performance April 28 through May 3, 2026 (every afternoon and evening). Performances are May 2 and May 3, 2026.
Why would I do this?
Because you love live performance, you love to move and act, you are a curious person who loves working on a big group project, you love meeting professional theater technicians. You want to be paid for your work. OR any of the above. AND—YEP, this gig pays.
