Palm Springs Modern: Photographs by Julius Shulman offers a glimpse of the mid-century architecture and elegant lifestyles of Palm Springs. The exhibition features 100 photographs by renowned Los Angelesâbased photographer Julius Shulman, who died this year at the age of 98. His iconic images capture buildings by such Modernist architects as Richard Neutra, Albert Frey, and John Lautner. Among a dozen original drawings in the exhibition are renderings of three key projects by Neutra, including his famed winter residence for Pittsburgh natives Edgar J. and Liliane Kaufmann.
Palm Springs Modern: Photographs by Julius Shulman is curated by Michael Stern and organized by the Palm Springs Art Museum.
