Artists Xavi L. Aguirre, Ang Li, and Lauren Yeager each have interdisciplinary design practices that contend with the accumulation of plastics and address existing synthetic architectures, built environments, sexualities, and relics.
The conversation will be moderated by Tizziana Baldenebro, commissioner and co-curator of Everlasting Plastics, and Alyssa Velazquez, assistant curator, Carnegie Museum of Art. Opening remarks by Lauren Leving, co-curator of Everlasting Plastics, and Theodossis Issaias, associate curator, Heinz Architectural Center.
