Please join us for a conversation between Lyndon Barrois Jr. and Mary Wilcop, senior manager of conservation at Carnegie Museum of Art. Their dialogue will invite us to consider the relationship, overlaps, and differences between an artist making art and a conservator preserving art.

Inspired by his love of the heist film genre, Pittsburgh-based artist Lyndon Barrois Jr. (b. 1983) has created a never-to-be-realized film script featuring two museum conservators who may be forgers. The fictional script will come to life in the museumâs Forum Gallery, using the visual language of Hollywoodâfilm stills, posters, sets, and propsâamong paintings, sculptures, and objects borrowed from both Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History.
