Shake off the gray despair of January in Pittsburgh with a celebration of the sun! Join artist Penelope Umbrico for a drawing experience using live-streamed sunsets from all around the world as inspiration. Then, take a tour of her Sunset Portraits from 31,271,160 Sunset Pictures on Flickr on 08/03/16 and the other incredible photographic works in our exhibition Strength in Numbers. Also, enjoy live performances of songs inspired by our social media experience #carnegiemuseumofartrealday, which invited people to contribute images representing the reality of their daily lives. The songwriters and performers are Morgan Erina, Nerdboy (Devyn Swain), Brad Yoder, and Nathan Zoob. As if that wasn’t enough, DJ Pete Butta’s beats will literally shake away your winter gloom all night long.
