Carnegie Collective
The Carnegie Collective’s mission is to cultivate and connect a new generation of art patrons and collectors while promoting a sense of pride and ownership in the success of the arts in our community. Co-chaired by owner of here gallery Lexi Bishop, and executive director of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh Madeline Gent, the Carnegie Collective provides a distinct opportunity for young professionals to engage with the museum by joining an inspired group of art patrons, supporters, and advocates.
Starting at $500, a year-long membership in the Carnegie Collective supports the museum’s dynamic exhibition programming as well as provides significant support to the museum’s Forum series. Programming is led by the museum’s curators who offer tours of new exhibitions and the collection, as well as behind-the-scenes art experiences throughout Pittsburgh and the region. Members of the Carnegie Collective receive an array of benefits, including:
- Invitations to curator-led programs and events
- Private collection access and visits as well as exclusive invitations to city-wide cultural offerings
- Special access to programming in the Forum Gallery
- Dual Membership to all four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh

The Fellows
Currently co-chaired by museum supporters Lynn Desmone and Susan J. McGuinn, The Fellows is a historical and dynamic group of art patrons. The Fellows support and advocate for enriching exhibitions and programming in the museum and throughout the community. Membership in The Fellows helps to inspire, sustain, and provide an irreplaceable nexus of art, education, and friendship for visitors.
Annual membership begins at $1,500 and offers a range of benefits, including special access to Carnegie Museum of Art and other community programming, such as:
- Private exhibition previews and tours
- Exclusive receptions and viewings of prominent private collections
- Travel opportunities to art museums and private collections throughout the country
- Invitations to lectures with celebrated artists, scholars, collectors, directors, and curators
Members of The Fellows are also encouraged to join the Patrons Circle for an additional $1,895 per year. Patrons Circle members receive additional benefits associated with all four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.

Friends of the International
Established in 1896, the Carnegie International is the longest running North American exhibition of international art. Organized every four years by Carnegie Museum of Art, the Carnegie International presents an overview of how art and artists respond to the critical questions of our time. The Carnegie International brings together new commissions, existing works, and projects by established and emerging artists working internationally, domestically, and locally. The exhibition transforms galleries and public spaces in the museum and occupies sites and engage publics in various Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
The 59th Carnegie International, which is slated to open in May 2026, will invigorate the museum and energize the city of Pittsburgh. A diverse network of contributors—including artists, curators, writers, filmmakers, and choreographers—will come together to compose an international of and for the 21st century.
As a Friend of the Carnegie International, you’re at the heart of what makes our museum a force in contemporary art and culture. From exclusive exhibition opening events and visits with artists to unique travel opportunities and behind-the-scenes updates, you’ll be involved with the International in a special way.
